Was time to fix up and tighten up the transmission on my super duper convertible today so it was time for a cruise. Couldn’t drive with the top down due to the monsoon out my window, but I did manage crank up my vintage Ipod Classic (yah.. one with the wheel) and what popped up in the playlist? “Turn me around” written by me…. the ancient version, featuring Dark Marbles alums Pete & Dave Dibiasio.

Then a selection from the New York Dolls came on and listening to they lyrics and I almost went off the road. Let’s just say they are super-raunchy (not for the younger set) but if you have the stomach for extremes and don’t take it too literally (well, it does paint a mighty picture) it was good for today’s drive in the rainy mountains. Transported me from rainy wilderness to the gritty, dark streets of New York City’s underworld.
